As a Catholic primary school, we see ourselves as an open community, concerned with the education of the whole child, created in the image of God. We welcome all children regardless of faith, but approach our daily life and practice with a clear vision that we are here to serve God through our words and actions.
Through this we aim to instil an outlook that is based on the teachings of Jesus, centred on love and kindness. These are all encompassing virtues that we encourage all within our community to embrace.
In addition, we also frame our learning and approach around the traditions of the Catholic church and as well as seeing ourselves as part of our immediate community also recognise that we are part of the wider Catholic and Christian community.
Our mission also recognises that through “Walking in the footsteps of Jesus”, children of all and no faith can have a set of values and principles that can support a journey through life that is either guided by faith but equally rooted in positive and affirming principles and values.
This means that in keeping with the traditions of the Catholic Church, the school, through its work, invites children on a faith-filled and ongoing journey alongside Jesus through prayer, participation and service to others.
